"Spirit Airlines of the Atlantic"
Understand that you are stuck once you book, with no flexibility. Good luck if any changes occur, you will pay a change fee $250pp, plus the doubling of the price as a "ticket differential" even though there website shows the price online. I understand the change fee, albeit high, I was ready to pay that for the changes to family that occurred since I bought my ticket. In additon to the $250pp change fee, they then let me know that "no, it is not a $600 ticket that you see online for the same seat, but it is now over $1000 per ticket + the change fee." I feel stuck. We have considered not boarding our booked Icelandair flights, but by doing so, they ultimately win. Please reconsider and do not let them win, it is not supposed to be this way...

I have spent 3 hours in talking to customer service. I am nice all the way thorugh and they treat me as an idiot. All I wanted to to was add an extra bagage. They don´t listen, so often I have to repeat my questions. It is so frustrating. It was the same thing when I went the other way to the USA - there I even tried the chat, that was so rude. I don´t get it actually. I don´t know why customer service is like this. Servive and safety should be number one. So just be aware to do everything beforehand, so you don´t have to talk to customer service. I finally got to add an extra bag, and they say that if I don´t get an email, I have to contact them again.. But.. this is another 2 hours for one call, being treated like an idiot. This is not nice at all.

Normally I’m not a person to write a review but this experience had definitely crossed a line for me. This was definitely the most terrible flying experience I’ve ever had in my life and I’ve had a real good share of flights (long and short flights). The service on the plane was so poor and the staff was not polite or helpful at all. The flight was delayed due to Mother Nature (high winds and trouble landing) but as we had to wait for hours to get into Reykjavík airport and staff was rude there as well we just had it at this point. It was total chaos at Reykjavík airport and when we finally got on our next icelandair plane it took them hours just to give us some water. Even after we asked twice. It was a 7,5 hour flight and they came with their cart twice (no overnight flight). The food was so crap!! The seats were really uncomfortable for a flight that was on the longer side. So it wasn’t just one person, but almost everybody along the way made my time miserable. The cabin crew was the worst I ever experienced in my life. Shame on them. Pick anybody but Icelandair to fly with!!!

"What an awful airline"
What an awful airline. They delay your flight and blame it on the weather when’s it’s sunny. What’s next, sorry we have cancelled your flight due to some rubbish blowing off the M25 and landing on the runaway. Dont bother calling customer services as it’s not worth your breath.

Customer service is lousy. They don’t respond in a timely manner. They force you to submit requests via email and never respond.

I book icelandair vacation package, and tried to changed the tour date..sending email twice no response. Terrible customer service. This my first and last flying with icelandair. If you thinking about booking with icelandair please Don'T...save your money and book other airlines. Still waiting for email response that was send 2 months ago

"4 flights all unbearably hot."
Had 4 flights within the space of a week and every one of them was unbearably hot to the extent I felt so ill I was ready to pass out.
Myself and others raised our concerns on various occasions, but it fell on deaf ears. I’ve travelled with all sorts of different airlines and these 4 flights were by far the worst I’ve ever experienced.
I wouldn’t fly with Iceland air again.

"I was delayed in Iceland for 4 days…"
I was delayed in Iceland for 4 days just before Christmas. I tried to get an earlier flight but it was impossible to contact Icelandair. I tried 46 times!!
On the day I was coming back (4 days late) the plane had a fault so we had to leave the plane and back onto a smaller plane!! So I guess some people didn't get back.
Nearly 5 weeks later and I am still waiting for a refund as I am £800 out of pocket.
The customer support is terrible and virtually non existent and they don't bother answering emails.
In addition to that my case was destroyed in transit and had only 1 wheel left on it and multiple cracks.
I would definitely not fly with Icelandair again!!!

The Spirit Airlines of European carriers. Lost luggage, constant delays, bad (or almost no) customer service, treat elderly awful leaving them to fend for themselves. Don’t book with Iceland Air

Very bad customer service.
I asked for the refund of my taxes and fees paid for an Iceland Air flight , since by law they have to refund to the customer since they do not pay those monies for a noshow passenger and they flatly refuse. They then try to pass the buck to the THIRD PARTY, knowingly very well that this so called company mytrip.com are criminals and liars. I A chat support is rude and either lyoing through there teeth or so badly trained that they do know the current laws that concern their business. Never again Iceland Air !!!

"Missed flight due to their cancellation-still they charge us"
We have a flight that was from Rekyavik back home, but because of a flight they canceled (due to weather-with no exact date as to when or if it would be rescheduled) we are not able to make that flight. We were told that even though the delay was caused by them we would have to pay the differences in the other flight along with the change fee though both flights were booked through them. We are not sure if we should rebook and we are not sure when we should rebook for so we are stuck with no solution and a lot of extra fees. Avoid Iceland air even when the new Nuuk international Airport is built. Never again.

Do not ever pay for Saga Class.
We flew to Iceland this summer and paid quite a lot extra for Saga Class.
Flying back we were placed on monkey class.
We asked for a refund but despite numerous reminders there is no respons from Icelandair.

"They practise extortion."
They practise extortion.
They allocated 2 middle seats in different rows for me and my husband and when at the airport I asked to seat us together, they said we have to pay extra for it. I refused to pay and when on the plane, there was a free aisle seat next to me and my husband just moved to it. I think it's disgusting and unacceptable
